The launch of a sustainability community within a large bank

Greenfish helped a large European bank create a Sustainable Business Community to prepare its teams for the sustainability-linked changes their clients will have to implement.

Mission

A large European bank is looking to create a Sustainable Business Community to prepare its teams for the sustainability-linked changes their clients will have to implement. The objective is to provide the community with insights into the risks, challenges, and solutions their clients would face during their transition to a more sustainable business model.

This community comprises about 60 salespeople and experts in direct contact with the bank’s clients.

Approach

Greenfish organised a 2-day workshop with all the members of the Sustainable Business Community.

The first day was set up to elaborate on the risks and opportunities brought by the needed transformation to cope with our planetary boundaries, using the business model canvas where participants had to evaluate their work relatively to sustainability.

The second day aimed at matching these risks and opportunities with the solutions the bank has or could develop to fund the sustainable projects and adapt their services to the new sustainable business model.

Achievement

The workshop received a good score from the participants and the project bearer for being interactive and informative. Most importantly, the Sustainable Business Community is still successfully operating today. Following our workshop, the bank also organised a series of workshops with some of its clients to embed sustainability within their partnerships.
